Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop flights from countries affected by the omicron variant of the Coronavirus, just days after making the same request to the Centre. In response to the omicron scare, Kejriwal wrote to PM Modi on Sunday.
"India has been battling Corona for one and a half years. We must protect ourselves from the new strain of concern entering the country," he said in his telegram.

The husband of a municipal sanitation worker who died from Covid-19 received a cheque for *1 crore from Delhi's chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday. Unita Ji was a frontline warrior working as a Swachhata Karamchari for the East MCD (East Delhi Municipal Corporation). While serving as a Covid-19, she became infected and died. It was during the toughest times that she served Delhi's people.
