According to authorities, a five-year-old boy was found dead on Friday after allegedly falling from the balcony of an eighth-floor flat in a high-rise group housing organisation.
According to them, the incident occurred at the Hyde Park society in Sector 78 at around 5.45 am when the child's parents were asleep.
As per the police spokesperson, "The family members told the police that sometimes the child would wake up earlier than others and roam around in the house. Today, the child went to the balcony where some planters are kept and above that is the balcony grill where from he fell down".
The child was rushed to the hospital as soon as the authorities arrived but he did not survive.
