On Tuesday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will hold a protest in Delhi's Jantar Mantar to draw attention to the situation in the conflict-ridden state of Manipur and to reported acts of violence against women there.
Gopal Rai, the party's minister for the environment and the state convenor for Delhi, announced the demonstration on Twitter and urged supporters to gather at Jantar Mantar at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rai took to his Twitter account and posted "In protest against the rising violence and brutalities against women in Manipur, the Aam Aadmi Party will stage a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar at 4pm today. We appeal to all friends to surely reach Jantar Mantar at 4pm today,”
