Featured Designer of the month - October 2022 - Manish Arora

Designer Manish Arora is well-known throughout the world for his deft handiwork and daring use of colour and texture. His colourful, patternheavy designs have won him a devoted celebrity following that includes Rihanna and Paloma Faith.

He is renowned for his deft craftsmanship and distinctive use of colour, such as his signature pink and gold palette. Manish Arora's style is all about small things that quickly make you feel better. He adheres to the ideas of colour, style, and maintaining an air of elegance.

His style is characterised by excitement, festivity, and enjoyment; it's a bowl full of surprises. “Clothes are useful, but that doesn't mean they aren't also works of art, he claims. They are merely an additional form of artistic expression. It might be a piece of clothing or film. Many people refer to Manish Arora as "the John Galliano of India.”

He is renowned for his use of psychedelic hues and kitsch patterns in clothing that fuses Western forms with indigenous Indian embroidery, appliqué, and beadwork. He was named "Best Indian Fashion Designer" by a fashion panel for a prestigious Indian journal, Outlook, which put him on the cover of its March 2006 issue.

In 2006, Manish opened his first franchise location for Manish Arora in Villa Moda, Kuwait, and the second location for Manish Arora Fish Fry in Crescent at The Qutub, New Delhi.

The first Fish Fry for Reebok concept store debuted in 2007 in the Garden of Five Senses in New Delhi, where Arora collaborated with the cosmetics and beauty brand MAC to create a signature line. Additionally, he worked with Swatch to create a special edition of watches. Once more in 2008, Reebok introduced the lifestyle collection known as the "RBK Fish Fry Collection 2008," which was created by Manish Arora.
