Givenchy is a luxury fashion and perfume house based in France.
It houses the Givenchy brand of haute couture garments, accessories, perfumes and cosmetics. Givenchy is a member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture et du Pret-a-Porter and was created in 1952 by designer Hubert de Givenchy. Currently it is owned by the LVMH group.
Hubert de Givenchy created his luxury brand in 1952 and debuted the Les Séparables collection, which included airy skirts and puffy blouses made of raw cotton.
For the first time, he introduced a movie star in an advertising campaign.
