We have interviewed an atheist Cuty Mendiratta for this month’s religion episode. She is an anchor and a growing influencer from Delhi. Basically, she is into hosting weddings. Let us know more about her;-

Tell us a little about your journey.

- If I talk about my journey, I started making videos since the lockdown. Before that I had no Idea of becoming an influencer, everybody used to cheer me up so lately I came up with funny content.

Do you believe in God or another Deity?

- Yes I do believe in God, but before that I believe in Karma. Believing in God doesn’t mean doing inaccurate things in life and then worshiping for the same, Karma plays a very important role in life If you believe in God.

What is your idea of the term God?

- In my opinion, God is usually viewed as the main lead of the running world, because without his choice nothing would happen. He's the object of faith and the ultimate reality.

What's your favorite prayer? If any

- To be honest I used to sing prayers In my school days, now I just concentrate, medidate, remember, thank him and talk to him for my good and hard times.

If you had to choose one religion, what would it be?

- I guess If I had the power to choose religion for myself, then I would’ve never considered a human. I belong to a Hindu religion basically from a Punjabi Family, and he chose that for me so the best religion for me is in which I’m born. Also I respect each and every religion.

If God gave you one wish, what would you ask for?

- I love charity, so If I wish for something from God It would be to remove poverty from our country, for example I see children begging at this temperature and that too barefoot. This thing will continue because they see their parents doing it first and we all learn things from our elders, so I would ask to remove poverty from the country.

You are in a debate with someone who believes in a religion, can you convince them to become an atheist or will you be convinced about the other. How?

- First of all we’re in a country which is part of democracy, So it’s their choice what they want to believe in. I would rather convince them to believe in Karma instead of being an atheist or believing too much in religion. It will help them to be a better person and to deal with the situations in life.

What made you choose to be an atheist.

- As I said before I believe in Karma, before religion. So if it makes me call an atheist I’ve no problem. Because god didn’t make religions and separate humanity, but we humans did separate the communities, offering different religions etc.

If you could ask one question to God, what would it be?

- I would like to ask God why there was a need for the word death? Why did he make this so obvious that the one who took birth is going to leave this world and that too uninformed. Because when somebody leaves the world all who suffer is their loved ones, their close ones. Yeah.

We will give you few words answer with the first word that comes in your mind -

- Yeah, Sure!

God - Unpredictable Prayer - Remembering

Temples - Worshiping Myths - Imaginary

Nupur Sharma - Strong

Yogi Adityanath - Pandit

Shiva - Support

Secularism - Against

Heaven - Kedarnath

Miracle - Life
