‘It becomes clear…’: Anthony Fauci on booster dose amid Omicron threat

|Shiksha Dev|THE DEN|

According to the US infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci, three doses of a vaccine against Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) are the "optimal care"; however, the government will adhere to the official definition of vaccinated. During a recent appearance on 'This Week With George Stephanopoulos', Dr. Fauci said that the official requirement to determine whether individuals are fully vaccinated will be two doses of either Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna and one shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. In terms of official requirements, two shots of the mRNA (Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna) are still required, along with a shot of the J&J. But, he continued, "the more and more it becomes evident that if you want to be optimally protected, the booster makes sense."
