Luxury of the month - December

|THE DEN|

The Porsche Taycan is unlike any other Porsche that you’ve seen on the road. This massive 4 door sedan with a horsepower figure that puts sports cars to shame. The car was launched in

India on the 12th of November and costs 1.5 Cr (ex-showroom).

Depending on the version, the Taycan has two battery pack options: 79.2kWh and 93.4kWh. Porsche claims a range of over 400 kilometres for all electric vehicle types. The Porsche

Taycan is available with single and twin motors.

The Porsche Taycan gets a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre console, as well as a third vertically stacked display for climate controls. Dual-zone climate control,

18-way power-adjustable sports seats, a 710W 14-speaker BOSE sound system, and a motorised tailgate are among the other features. This car will give you all you need and won't

leave you wanting for something extra.

There will always be comparisons to the Tesla Model S, especially given the Porsche's anticipated range, but the New Taycan is undeniably the more exhilarating option, and given

the fact that Tesla isn’t available in India, the Taycan reaps the benefit of it by getting no competition.

Forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, as well as lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, are standard features on every Taycan. Porsche also offers more modern technology, albeit at a higher cost.

A tech-heavy environment is inside the sleek-looking Taycan. The design appears to be straightforward and similar to that of previous Porsche models. The interiors come decorated with a variety of rich materials and colour schemes.

With the lesser battery, the 4S variant produces 522 horsepower, and with the larger battery, 562 horses. The top variants, the 670-hp Turbo and the 750-hp Turbo S, come with a larger battery as standard. The base model has a power range of 402 to 469 horsepower, depending on the battery capacity, however it’s only available in rear-wheel drive.

The dimensions of this mighty 4 seater are L×B×H 4963mm× 1966mm× 1379mm and it isn't a small car for the Indian roads in any way. But what it offers is a package like no other car in

India for sure !
