The Supreme Court denied the Enforcement Directorate's request to have the senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader examined by an impartial team of doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after two weeks and instead extended the interim bail granted to former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain by five weeks on Monday.
The bail that was granted to Jain on May 26 was extended by five weeks after the bench of justices AS Bopanna and Bela M Trivedi took into account his physical condition as he underwent spinal surgery on July 21.
