Senate Republicans vowed Wednesday to repeal the mandates imposed by President Biden on vaccines and testing, passing a measure to loosen policies that they see as crucial to fighting Coronavirus.
The GOP intensified its campaign against business closures, mask mandates, and other government-led measures to slow the spread of the pandemic in the last week. Republican senators said requirements for vaccines are unwarranted and unconstitutional, posing a threat to American jobs.
Taking the most aggressive and public stance yet to repeal the Biden administration's rule that requires large private companies to provide vaccinations or implement comprehensive coronavirus testing for their workers, Republicans led by Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) continue to protest such a rule.
