The 911's interior remains smart rather than convoluted, with a mix of buttons, knobs, and touch-screen controls, as well as a huge central cupholder for the first time. The gauge cluster likewise departs from tradition, with predominantly digital instruments replacing mostly analogue ones. The original 911 goal statement remains unchanged: it must be usable and pleasant on a daily basis, while also being one of the most rewarding driving cars available.
