Entering the XC90 feels like stepping into an opulent, comfortable universe. The cabin is roomy and well-thought-out, including high-end components like Nappa leather, wood accents, and brushed aluminium trims. The seating layout provides enough headroom and legroom for every passenger, offering a comfortable ride even on prolonged trips. Excellent support is provided by the ergonomically built seats, which also have heating, ventilation, and massage features. The atmosphere is further improved by the abundance of natural light provided by the panoramic sunroof.
Volvo is known for its dedication to technological breakthroughs. The vertically oriented 9-inch touchscreen
display, which is incredibly quick and simple to operate. It gives users access to a wide range of features, such as media controls, connectivity options, and navigation. An immersive music experience is provided by the Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system, and smooth connectivity while driving is guaranteed by smartphone integration options like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Volvo XC90's engine lineup includes a variety of strong yet fuel-efficient alternatives to accommodate various tastes. The engines are connected to an automatic transmission with seamless shifts that easily distributes power to all four wheels. The XC90 has superb handling qualities, precise steering, and a smooth, composed ride. The suspension system effectively absorbs blemishes in the road, offering a smooth and steady ride even over bumpy terrain. The plug-in hybrid model's remarkable electric range makes it possible to commute sustainably without sacrificing performance.
A shared petrol four-cylinder engine with other large Volvo cars is now available for the XC90 B6. For a petrol engine of this size, this one's 1,969cc displacement and power and torque numbers are pretty impressive. This engine, internally referred to as the B420T, produces a potent 300 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. This is a lot of power for what is essentially a 2.0 four-cylinder vehicle, but it is not as much as the facelifted Q7 from Audi, which has a bigger V6 petrol engine and produces 340 horsepower, or the GLE petrol from Merc, which produces 367 horsepower.
