The new XC60 is a petrol-only vehicle with mild hybrid
technology for increased economy. A 2-litre four-cylinder petrol
engine is mated to a 48-volt integrated starter-generator motor
under the hood. By recovering energy from the brakes and
storing it in the 48 volt battery, this motor now supports the
engine and increases fuel efficiency at city speeds. You'll
receive a combined output of 250bhp and 350Nm of torque.
Priced at 65.90 Lakhs ex-showroom, it might be difficult for
people to believe that the XC60 is actually worth its price tag.
But not only does it justify its price point, the new XC60 comes
out as value for money. The XC60 is good to drive and given
the fact that there's just one fully loaded variant, you cannot
really go wrong. So while the overall emphasis is certainly on
luxury, the XC60 also offers more on the value front and
exclusivity compared to all its rivals.
It's all very refreshing inside the XC60, and we're talking about
the design and materials here. Unlike the Germans, who use a
lot of beige and light-colored surfaces, Volvo has gone for an allblack dash with tan leather seats and door pads to set the tone.
The XC60's cabin design, like its appearance, has survived the
test of time admirably. Volvo hasn't altered anything in here,
yet because to the clean, simple aesthetics, it still seems like a
2022 design.
What's shocking is how little the main vertical display suddenly
seems in comparison to the massive touchscreens that have
taken over luxury automobile interiors. This 7-inch display
may appear little, but it is exceedingly fluid, and the touch
response is as flawless. All-in-all if you’re not looking for
anything too extra then XC60 is the car that will keep you
satisfied.
