This song is one to wonder non-stop, and yes, it's one of the
most well-known and perhaps the Red Hot Chili Peppers' most
iconic guitar riffs, a mellow surf opening with refreshingly
timed beats makes you feel like you're riding the California
sunset. Flea's bass line warms up the track just before Anthony
Kiedis begins to blend the flow of poetry and tenderness into
his tone. The melody has a steady path until Frusciante's guitar
joins in with an airy electric solo just before a brilliantly
defined ending.
Californication
From: Californication (1999)
It was the year of 1983 when spice came to music with the
birth of Red Hot Chili Peppers. Months later, in August 1984,
the group, consisting of vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea,
drummer Cliff Martinez and guitarist Jack Sherman, released
their first studio album ‘The Red Hot Chili Peppers’. They are
an alternative rock group with flavors of funk, pop-rock, indie,
and heavy metal. As icons of funk and rock, the RHCP have left
their great mark on the music world.
